We’re Terry and Lynn Chesbrough. Since the ministry began in 1974, our heart has been to share Jesus, make disciples, and strengthen the local church. Impacting The Nations is an international 501(c)(3) nonprofit outreach, founding churches and Bible schools in 22 nations.
Married in 1976, we began building a life of faith and ministry together in Veracruz, Mexico. Today, we call the Grapevine, Texas area home. We are blessed with three sons, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Our calling still takes us across cultures to encourage pastors and national leaders, teach the Word of God, and help others become strong disciples of Jesus.

A story of faithfulness that began in Mexico City and continues across nations.
Terry came to faith through Billy Graham’s television ministry and left Ohio to study in Dallas. Lynn came to faith in New Jersey and began attending Christ For The Nations in 1972.
After graduating in May, Terry traveled to Mexico City with $25 and no promised support. Lynn joined a team in Germany to help establish Christ for Germany Bible Institute.
Terry and Lynn married and established their first church in the port city of Veracruz, Veracruz. They describe that church as still thriving decades later, producing new disciples of Jesus around the world.
Adopted by Lakewood Church in Houston in 1986, the couple went on to serve eight years in Hong Kong, expanding their work into Asia and the 10/40 Window.
From their base near Grapevine, Texas, they encourage national leaders and strengthen churches. Their outreach has included Mexico, Brazil, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, India, and China.
